Vocu Chairs

Limited upcycled chairs series

I am a 1950s and 1960s furniture lover and collector. One of my favourite pieces of furniture are chairs. Not many chairs from this era have been preserved, which makes every new find a little treasure. I’ve decided to use my creativity and to give these design gems a new life. My mission is to preserve the essence of the era of their creation and to make them a part of today’s world. The result of my efforts is the Vocu Chairs collection…

I give new breath to discarded gems

I usually find the chairs in old furniture shops and at auctions. Every one of our renovated chairs receives special care. Each of them is reupholstered by a skilful upholsterer and restored. Sometimes it is the construction that requires mending, sometimes it is the backrest or the seat. The result is a functional and environmentally friendly product with a potential to serve its owner for decades.

Original hand-printed patterns

The chairs are decorated with a unique combination of patterns. I work with natural recycled canvas which I hand-paint and print with eco-friendly paints. Making patterns and combining them is a creative process I really enjoy. Thanks to the handprint, each piece is an original with a unique style.

Handcrafted to the finest detail

I restore chairs in collaboration with experienced craftsmen who spend dozens of hours working with chairs. Only top-quality materials are used for the renewal. The chairs attract attention with their design as well as the finest detail work.

I want each chair to get all care it needs and to achieve the best possible craftsmanship. That’s why they are produced only in small limited series.

Every piece is unique

“In the creative process I try to find harmony between love to old things and the demands of the modern age. I want to turn discarded objects into repurposed pieces and to bring back their beauty. I love to see my clients discover the journey the chairs have taken.”
